Mountain Area Gem and Mineral Association Photos by: Richard Jacquot The March 2023 show was by far one of the largest shows we have ever had. Great turnout and an excellent selection of vendors offering the best in the mineral world to the rockhound public. Thank you to all the vendors who go above and beyond to promote our shows through your social networks. Word of mouth and the venues I am using for advertising are working. Mr. Bobcat had help this show selling my books. He was joined by Grayson the Coyote. Both are characters in my Smokey series books. I also want to thank all those who donated to the Feral Cat Farm project I am working on. Your donations help greatly with the surgeries some of the cats would not otherwise get. It makes their lives much better. Nice selection of Tampa Bay and Withlacoochee River coral. I will have more of this at the Graves Mountain show coming up; April 28th - 3oth. Friday morning. My set up. I had a huge variety at this show. Material from three different collections and my own self collected items. First day of the show. We had many more outdoor vendors at this show. Some regulars and several new folks joined us. The weather was chilly Saturday and Sunday. I think we would have had double the outdoor vendors with warmer temps. Maybe in June? Bob usually wins the T-shirt contest each show. This time he had competition from Grover. This rockhound was ready for the cold weather. It would not surprise me if this was not actually my ultrasound?? Lots of happy people. Group of rockhounds trying to decide where to dig. See you in June! |
